A new release with his talented transnational band The Amorian Assembly produced by Jamie Candiloro whose resume includes alt-country darling Ryan Adams and R.E.M., is set for release in early 2013.
| Manitoba native Matt Epp is self-taught musician who writes songs with the intent to uplift and enrich. Sometimes described as a rock poet, he combines soulful folk sounds infused with a hint of alt-rock. Endowed with infinite capacity to engage an audience with soul-inspiring, beautifully honest stories set to music and his genial disposition, Epp is one of the gifted forerunners defining the future landscape of Canadian music. Co-headlining on this night’s bill is Halifax based folk singer-songwriter, Catherine MacLellan, who is headed on tour across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and across the pond to the UK this fall. MacLellan’s star has long been rising in North America. Voted Critics Favourite New Discovery by Penguin Eggs Magazine in 2008, she has toured in support of legendary artists including Bruce Cockburn in the United States and Steve Forbert in the UK. |
