Now in its seventh year, the Prairie Kitchen Party, presented by the West End Cultural Centre, constantly impresses audiences with the diversity of Manitoba talent.
The 2017 Prairie Kitchen Party, “East Coast Calling”, features a nod to the roots of a traditional east coast Ceilidh. This year's Prairie Kitchen Party is sure to be a foot stomping, heartwarming, dance party bursting with Celtic, Acadian, and maritime flavours. Hosted by the original “cook” herself, singer songwriter Emma Cloney brings to the table the talents of fiddlers Dale Brown and Jeremy Penner, singer songwriter Nathan Rogers, the newly married Nathaniel and Jessee (Havey) Good who are the newly minted folk duo Nation of Two, the multi-instrumental talents of Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner (Red Moon Road) and more.
The Prairie Kitchen Party has long been known for being the first taste of the summer festivals, with a workshop style show where the performers gather on the "kitchen" stage and collaborate together to create something new and exciting every year. Always new, and always fresh because the best parties always start out in the kitchen!
