On Thursday, March 26th, join SOLidarity with Cuban Farmers, Manitoba-Cuba Solidarity Committee, and the West End Cultural Centre for LET CUBA LIVE: A Musical Fundraising Evening, featuring lively performances by Papa Mambo, Grupo El Solar, and Onna Lou.
Cuba is facing a severe humanitarian crisis. Donald Trump’s January announcement of a total blockade of fuel to the island, deepening the effects of more than six decades of US aggression, has pushed Cuba to the brink. As blackouts increase in frequency and duration, all aspects of Cuban life are affected, from healthcare and agriculture to sanitation and nutrition. Raise your voice and join us in our efforts to get essential aid, including power supplies, to the island.
SOLidarity With Cuban Farmers is a group of Canadians who are helping small-scale Cuban farmers achieve energy and food security, for their families and communities. Half of the proceeds from this event will go towards the procurement and installation of solar panel systems on Cuban farms, in collaboration with The Urban Farmer, the Antonio Nuñez Jiménez Foundation (FANJ), and the Centro Cristiano para Reflexión y Diálogo (CCRD). Learn more here: www.theurbanfarmer.ca/solidarity
The Canadian Network on Cuba sends monthly containers to Cuba, filled with urgently needed supplies including medicine, food, hygiene items, and power generators. Half of the proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of EcoFlow Power Stations and other essential goods to fill these scheduled containers. Learn more here: www.canadiannetworkoncuba.ca
All proceeds from this show will go towards these initiatives. We are accepting monetary donations only, please. Our Cuban partners will guide us with their specific needs and priorities to distribute the fund.
Come and celebrate the resilience of the Cuban people, and join in our initiatives to Let Cuba Live!
