Singersongwriter, folk.

For fans of Sarah Harmer, Amelia Curran, David Francey, Tracy Grammer, The Wailing Jennies, Small Glories

Come join Cara Luft and her chosen younger brothers (Clayton Parsons and Rob McLaren) for a heart-filling “You Heard Them Here First” preview evening of new songs currently being recorded for her first solo album in 13 years.  In conversation with WECC director Jorge Requena, Cara will share the behind-the-scenes creative process that led to this new batch of songs, as well as the journey towards embracing a new season of life and the re-launching of her solo career. This whole night of songs and stories... it’s personal; a special reveal for the tender hearted.

For this show, The WECC is teaming up with nearby venue Public Domain, at 633 Portage (where Goodwill used to be). The show is presented by The WECC, but at Public Domain. Public Domain is small and contained, the perfect spot for the vulnerable behind the scenes offering Cara has in mind.
