The Art of Creation
In her solo debut, Ibe explores surrealism and its magic to express the in which surrealism allows us to see each other, our humanity, and the world in ways we might not have otherwise imagined. Blending Salvador Dali and elements of Nigerian folklore, she explores womanhood, displacement, belonging, blackness and queer identity.
The topics are expressed in ten paintings using oil and acrylic on 35in x 23in glossy paper.
