Come Volunteer at Ellice Street Festival

Since its inception in 2001, the Ellice Street Festival in June is an annual fixture in the neighbourhood, bringing out local residents to meet and interact with their neighbours and the community organizations that provide services in the West End neighbourhood. This free festival features a community BBQ, live music, community organization displays, an artisan market, and a variety of fun activities for kids and families. This event shines a positive light on a neighbourhood more accustomed to being in the spotlight for negative reasons and is a highlight of spring for the community.

Parking and road construction

Please plan a little extra time to park and get to The WECC from May 2026 - Fall 2026. The City of Winnipeg is adding a bicycle lane to Sherbrooke Ave. (Yay!). The downside is that Sherbrooke will not be available for parking during this roadwork, which is scheduled to last from now until the fall, exact end date TBD. Ellice, Furby, Maryland and other side streets remain good parking options. We can always arrange for a volunteer to walk with you to your car after a show, please ask the on-site house manager for assistance. If you want someone to walk you safely to your car after a performance, ask one of our volunteers, and we will arrange an escorted walk.

See you soon!
