Heartwood's fourth annual fundraising concert is taking place on March 12th at the West End Cultural Centre!
Heartwood at the WECC is a very special gathering designed to unite our community, celebrate the difference we make, and support the therapeutic services we provide. Guests will enjoy live performances from local musicians while taking part in exciting fundraising activities, including a silent auction, merchandise sales, direct donations and a fully stocked bar.
For convenience, the venue offers an ATM, and we’ll have Square readers available to accept payments for merchandise and donations.
The event will feature the Carabiners covering Alanis Morissette all night long! The Carabiners are a 6-piece all-queer 90s cover band based in Winnipeg. They love making music together and it is a joy to watch their connection on stage. The Carabiners believe in social justice and supporting community. Two members are also part of the Heartwood staff. They are excited to play Heartwood at the WECC 2026!
The event will be opened by, Tee (they/he), a 2Spirit indie folk artist from Treaty 1 | Winnipeg, Manitoba, weaving stories of identity, resilience, and belonging through song. With nearly 20 years of experience performing in bands like Waterfront Drive, Bro, Nouveau, and Becoming A King, Tee’s music blends intimate storytelling with a soulful folk spirit, offering listeners both comfort and hope!
Heartwood at the WECC is one of a few major fundraising opportunities for Heartwood Healing Centre each year, helping to provide more counselling, workshops, and groups to Manitobans who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.
