Outside Joke is a Winnipeg-based improvisational theatre company. They specialize in musical improv, led by their fearless and bespectacled Music Director, Paul De Gurse. Since forming in 2002, OJ has performed in festivals and theatres across Canada, including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Montreal. After sold-out Winnipeg Fringe Festival runs, and producing five seasons of comedy at Winnipeg’s Gas Station Arts Centre, they have gone on to join the Main Stage season at Prairie Theatre Exchange for five years. Creating a brand new improvised musical every time they take the stage, Outside Joke brings a playful energy and an open heart to their craft.
